As an accredited driving instructor, I thrive on helping learner drivers build confidence, develop safe habits, and feel prepared for their practical driving test.
As Warren and I have four grown kids, we both understand that learning to drive is a big milestone. It's not only for teenagers, but also for people in their twenties, adults who never learnt to drive, and parents who want to know their learner is being taught thoroughly and safely.
I'm known for my relaxed and friendly approach, and my goal is to create a positive and fun learning environment with a focus on explaining not just what to do, but why it matters. My students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions, as these are used to help improve their skills.
I use notes and simple whiteboard sketches to explain key driving skills, road rules, manoeuvres, and test expectations in a way that is easy to follow and remember.
I encourage students to keep learning between lessons by reviewing what we have covered and discussing the notes provided with their parents or guardians. This helps everyone better understand the lesson focus, making it easier to support safe and consistent practice at home.
